Common questions
How do I restore my purchases?
Open GymXP → Settings → Plan → Restore Purchases (it is also on the subscription screen itself). You must be signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you subscribed with.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On iPhone: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions and select GymXP. On Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions and select GymXP. In the app, Settings → Account → Manage Subscription takes you to the right place.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account and type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes your account and all your data from our servers and cannot be undone.
My workout data isn't syncing — what do I do?
Workouts upload automatically as you finish them. On a new phone, sign in with the same account and your history restores. If something is missing, check you're online and signed in (Profile shows your account), then email us with the account email and what's missing.
Do I need an account?
No — you can log your first workout as a guest. Sign in to back your data up, keep training past your first session, fight bosses, duel and add friends.
Is GymXP free?
Your first workout is free, and so are the 14 days after it. After that GymXP is a paid app: £3.99 a month, or £24.99 a year. You add a payment method to start the trial and can cancel any time before it ends. Accounts created before 24 September 2026 keep their original free plan, where nutrition, The Archive and the extra coach voices are an optional Pro subscription.
Does GymXP work with Apple Health or Health Connect?
On Android, yes: Settings → Integrations → Health Connect. GymXP writes each finished workout to Health Connect and reads your heart rate during the session and last night's sleep so the coach can account for recovery. On iPhone, Apple Health is not connected yet — it's planned.
The boss escaped — what happens?
Every fight runs for 7 days from the moment it's accepted. If the boss still has health when time runs out, it escapes and leaves you a debuff — a joke diagnosis on your profile with no effect on XP, damage or anything else. Your next finished session cures it, and you can start a new fight straight away.
Where's my gear? Why didn't I get a drop?
Training drops need a real session — at least 5 working sets and 20 minutes. Each qualifying session has roughly an 18% chance of a drop (30% if it includes a PR), with a maximum of one drop a day. Every boss kill drops gear. If you already own that item, the duplicate fuses into the next tier, from Worn up to Mythic.
How are duels scored?
On our servers, from the sets you actually log during the 7 × 24 hour window. Sessions that fail plausibility checks (impossible durations, for example) score zero, so nobody can pad their numbers.
Does it work on Wear OS or Apple Watch?
On Android, yes — you can log sets from a Wear OS watch during a live workout. There is no Apple Watch app yet.
Can I export my data?
You can export your training history as a CSV from Profile → The Archive → Export. Account deletion is separate — see above.
How do I turn off analytics or crash reports?
Settings → Privacy & Data. Switch off "Send usage analytics" and/or "Send crash reports". Crash reporting stops fully the next time you open the app.
I found a bug — how do I report it?
Email us at nichallsoftware@gmail.com with a description of what happened, which screen you were on, and your device model and OS version. Screenshots or a screen recording help a lot.
